Yesterday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the “roadmap” for easing restrictions in England and finally coming out of this long winter lockdown. The long-term aim is to lift all restrictions in 118 days on the 21st of June. This will ultimately happen in four stages.
In this handy guide, we pick the main points from each stage…
Stage one – part one
8th of March
Stage one – part two
29th of March
No earlier than 12th of April
No earlier than 17th of May
No earlier than 21st of June
There will be four tests for easing restrictions and each stage will be 5 weeks apart to collect enough data before moving onto the next.
